Unity Radio Academy Learner Interviews Children’s Commissioner at the Festival of Childhood!
Unity Radio Academy learner David recently had the incredible opportunity to interview Dame Rachel de Souza, the Children’s Commissioner for England, at the Festival of Childhood.
The interview explored some of the key challenges facing young people today, from ensuring their voices are heard to creating opportunities that help them thrive. It was an inspiring conversation that highlighted the importance of listening to young people, supporting their ambitions, and empowering the next generation to reach their full potential.
Experiences like this are at the heart of what we do at Unity Radio Academy. We are committed to providing our learners with meaningful, real-world opportunities that build confidence, develop professional broadcasting and journalism skills, and give them the chance to engage with influential figures on issues that matter.
David’s interview is a fantastic example of how young people can play an important role in shaping conversations about their future when they are given the platform to do so.
We are incredibly proud of David for representing the Academy so professionally and look forward to creating many more opportunities that inspire and empower the next generation of broadcasters and storytellers.
