The Ruthless Rap Assassin’s
The MHHA (Manchester Hip Hop Archive) are a community group primarily concerned with building an archive to collect and store documentation from people involved within the Hip Hop community here in Manchester.
With a history spanning 4 decades, beginning in the early 1980s, we are interested to hear from anyone who has any kind of verbal, visual, auditory, physical or retrospective documentation or recollection of their experiences contributing in the last four decades to what is undeniably the most significant global youth movement our planet has ever known.
This collection of historical material, accounts and its contents will is aimed to be launched in the form of an Exhibition and permanent archive, to be stored at Central Reference Library in Manchester for future generations to access for decades to come.
We are confident the MHHA can create a rich collection of artefact’s and history, which will represent and document a diverse pool of groups and individuals whom contributed to the social and cultural phenomenom known as Hip Hop.
As part of our Heritage Lottery Bid, the MHHA would now like to hear from the people of Manchester.
