This Summer, Unity Radio welcomes young people from the National Citizens Service (N.C.S.) into our studio’s to meet the team, try their hand at DJing and experience broadcasting live on air. Throughout July and August, over 1000 young people will be coming through the doors.
The N.C.S. is a programme for 15-17 year olds to get involved in during term-breaks, and provides participants with new skills, confidence, leadership and communication through a four phase, two week, programme where participants experience, adventure, discovery, social action and celebration.
At the end of the programme, young people will have helped boost their CV or UCAS personal statement and leave the programme with a fuller understanding of citizenship.
