Tuesday 8th March / RJ
On Tuesday we welcome a familiar face back to the studio in RJ. The Mancunian rapper has been making waves in the local scene for some time now, off the back of his 2021 debut project “Home Grown” RJ has continued to grow his skillset and master his craft of rhyming. The back end of February saw RJ release his first material of the new year in “Lean”, a collaborative effort with West Yorkshire emcee JC Stormz. RJ comes into the station from 8am to chat about the new single, his debut album and everything he has in store for the rest of the year.
Wednesday 9th March / AK
On Wednesday, we step into the world of streetwear as Jasper opens the station doors to AK. AK is most notably known in the city for his clothing brand “Gramm”, a brand which is well known in Manchester due to its unmistakable, unique aesthetics. Just recently however, AK has dipped his fingers in to the world of music by trying his hand in DJ’ing and production. It will be interesting to see how many other strings AK will add to his bow this year, catch him chat to Jasper on The Breakfast Show from 8am about his plans for the year and where his priorities lie in the creative world.
Thursday 10th March / Diana Drill
Thursday’s Breakfast Show with Jasper Hopkins will take a different structure than what you’re used to; from 8am Jasper will be airing an exclusive interview with one of the hottest female artists in the country in Nottingham-born rapper/singer Diana Drill. The masked rapper/singer extraordinaire will be chatting to Jasper about her newest single “Lights and Darks” produced by Mazza On The Track, a perfect encapsulation of her unforgiving yet liberating style. Listen in from 8am to hear Jasper talk to Diana Drill about the story behind the mask, the pressures of being a woman in this industry and what she has in store for the rest of the year.
