Big People Community CIC presents ‘See My World’ a series of multicultural, multi-lingual, intergenerational inclusive events, reflecting the aspirations of Manchester’s PanAfrican community and that of the region.
This festival of PanAfrican themed events and activities in Manchester is an effort to inspire the creation of a movement to promote and encourage self-determination and self-realisation of the UK’s African and Caribbean diaspora.
The festival will involve the education, promotion and flaunt of PanAfrican Arts, Culture and Being. Incorporating historical and heritage debates, forums, seminars, exhibitions, performances with the aim to enlighten and develop the establishment of a new cultural practice for the African diaspora of Manchester the region and the world.
Made possible by the Heritage Lottery Fund. ● WE ARE PARABLE – WHO WE ARE, films showings and Q&A discussions focusing on Pan- African women in film
● Launch of the ‘SEE MY WORLD ARCHIVE ‘ a series of short visual documents telling the stories of the experiences of Pan-Africans in the UK .

Our launch in 2020 was special in light of a year in Iisolation. 2021 and we haven’t seen much change, however we are blessed to be back in society where we can meet again through art, culture and being. Storytelling is our calling and we look forward to bringing this festival to a wider audience. COME SEE OUR WORLD.
