Legendary hip-hop figure The D.O.C. best known for his work with N.W.A and Dr Dre, caught up with Harvey Bishop whilst in Manchester promoting his latest documentary “The DOC”. The pair discuss his journey in the music industry, and his groundbreaking vision for education.
The D.O.C. reflected on his rise in the hip-hop community, sharing insights into the culture that shaped him and the importance of staying authentic in a competitive industry. He also revealed details about his new movie, which aims to inspire unity across the music scene. His school is built around four specialist subjects – gaming, music, the creator economy, and software development giving students access to subjects they are genuinely passionate about while building transferable skills for the future.
By meeting young people where their interests lie, The D.O.C. hopes to nurture creativity, confidence, and academic achievement. His efforts are already gaining international recognition, with Yale University, New York University, Harvard University, and even Snoop Dogg acknowledging the project’s potential.
From hip-hop to education, The D.O.C. continues to push boundaries, using his platform to unite communities, inspire the next generation, and carry forward a message of love and empowerment.
