The BRIT Awards 2026, Coverage on Unity Radio!
From Monday the 23rd February, we’re rolling out the red carpet for the biggest night in British music, the Brit Awards 2026, and you can catch all the excitement right here on Unity Radio.
As Greater Manchester’s youth-focused station, bringing you the real sound of the city, we’re building up to the iconic awards show with exclusive coverage, discussion, and the biggest tracks shaping the culture right now. For the first time ever, the BRITs are leaving London and coming to Manchester at the Co-op Live Arena, making this year’s show extra special for music fans across the city.
Join Kai Jasper on Primetime each weekday from 7–10am and 4–7pm for our BRITs build-up. We’ll be breaking down the biggest award categories including British Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act, Best R&B Act, International Artist of the Year and Producer of the Year. We’ll also be spotlighting the hottest nominees and playing the hip hop, rap, R&B and house tracks that defined the year.
Unity Radio’s presenter team and Academy learners will be down at the Brits FRINGE LAB, a one-day industry forum, mixer and showcase taking place at New Century Hall on 27 February. FRINGE LAB will bring together artists, industry leaders and creative practitioners for talks, workshops, masterclasses and discussions, concluding with a public showcase of four emerging Manchester artists tipped as potential future BRIT Award winners. Delivered by Manchester-based music development organisation Brighter Sound in collaboration with Manchester Music City, the activity supported by Manchester City Council, GMCA, the BRITs Fringe has been created to celebrate both the city’s musical heritage and highlight new and emerging talent, the likes you can hear on Primetime all this week.
Whether it’s chart-dominating anthems or underground sounds making waves across the UK scene, we’ve got it covered.
The countdown to the BRIT Awards 2026 starts here, only on unity radio ‘the Real Sound of the City’, live from MediaCityUk on 92.8 fm and online.
