
Stepz talks New Single ‘Hot’ & Social Media Presence! Interview w/ Adele Tondu & DJ Basha
Viral London rapper and TikTok comedian Stepz speaks about his new single ‘ Hot ‘, plus social media
and its importance to independent musicians with Unity Radio’s DJ Basha and Adele Tondu.
Stepz discusses how while working on his music and realising his first single “Eureka”,
he gained an audience from TikTok and comedy, seeing it as a vital platform to have for authenticity.
The Tiktok virality came as a surprise that helped to push his music further into the public eye,
now he plans to start a Twitch and continue expanding his career,
he opened up to the possibility of a future boxing match also.
“I personally feel like with the whole social media thing, it gives you the ability to show like your real personality, you have the traits to talk about, I don’t know, go into the shop, talking about love, about being upset… You can do it at that tempo as well. Like, you don’t need to talk about “Man went here and got this stolen”, you don’t need to”
The interview went on to explore the rapper’s American inspiration in his music and comedy,
as well as his goals to collaborate with more UK based artists.
DJ Basha and Adele Tondu took the opportunity to test Stepz on his own tracks,
making him remember the next lyrics to his famous tracks like Pac Man, Cramp Dat, and Eureka.
Stepz shared his own experience of being an independent artists with no label support,
and how his best comes from independent work like the upcoming EP “Step”.
