N Dubz talk ‘Timeless’ Album & ‘Up Close & Personal’ Tour @ Manchester Show! Interview w/ DJ Basha
N Dubz take time to talk with DJ Basha at the Manchester stop of the ‘Up Close and Personal’ tour, about there comeback album release ‘Timeless’. The group’s first post-hiatus album, currently ranking Top 5 in the charts! Tulisa jokes about how she kick-started the comeback by kicking everyone out of their houses and getting them into the studio.
Later in the interview, Fazer spoke about the inspiration behind two of the records on the new album, mentioning how “All of the Lights” came to the group whilst being on stage, as they asked the crowd to hold up the lights on their phone. He spoke of how this inspired the group to write a song dedicated to guiding people through dark times. Dappy then went on to describe the making of ‘London” explaining more about how the group doesn’t often write ‘manufactured’ songs, and instead writes from real experiences they’ve had.
For their show at Manchester Academy, N Dubz were joined by celeb-boxer Tommy Fury. DJ Basha asks N Dubz who out of the group would be most likely to get into the ring, to which they confidently answered Tulisa, claiming that she is the strongest out of the 3.
The group go on to talk briefly about their history together, stating “playing the O2 arena multiple times” as a career highlight and how they believe they have broken down barriers in the UK music scene, which has helped shape it to be the way it is today. After speaking about the past and present, the group conclude the interview talking about the future and what’s next for N Dubz, promoting their 2024 arena tour as well as exciting upcoming projects for the rest of this year.
