Through Unity Radio, she is building her experience across broadcasting, interviewing and live event coverage, with a focus on creating an atmosphere that keeps audiences listening.
Megan’s journey into broadcasting has been shaped by her training in Radio, TV and Podcast Production with the Unity Radio Academy, which gave her practical experience behind the microphone and behind the scenes. Through Unity Radio Academy, she has developed her interviewing, recording and presenting skills while gaining first-hand insight into the media industry. Her progression reflects a determination to make the most of every opportunity and continue developing as a broadcaster.
Megan’s musical interests span EDM, electropop, drum and bass and UK garage, with a wider appreciation for electronic music, alternative sounds and the ever-evolving dance music scene. Alongside broadcasting, she has explored music production using FL Studio and has experience writing songs. Her interest in the relationship between music, artists and audiences informs her approach to presenting, from discussing emerging sounds to exploring the stories behind the music.
Megan’s broadcasting experience spans live radio, festival presenting, podcast production and live events. A standout highlight has been interviewing the CEO of Co-op Live live on air, gaining first-hand experience speaking with a leading figure in Manchester’s live entertainment industry.
She has also presented at Parklife, where her work received positive feedback from industry professionals, and recorded at TEDx Manchester. Her experience includes interviewing a minister from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport during a visit to Moss Side Powerhouse, developing interview questions for young people and youth workers, and hosting at Band on the Wall for Education One Music and the Showcase Rocks event.
Megan aims to continue developing as a presenter, radio DJ and media personality, with ambitions spanning music radio, television and live entertainment. She wants to create a distinctive on-air presence that audiences return to for more than the music alone, the energy, humour, conversation and atmosphere she brings. By combining her love of music with her growing broadcasting experience, Megan is working towards a career that connects artists, audiences and Manchester’s vibrant music culture.
