Multitalented Manchester artist MC Trigga joined The Breaks on his show last Friday where he talked about music and helping other people. Tundy Smith, which is his real name, started back in the mid-80’s as a reggae MC under the name of Junior Shanti. When he was 14 years old, the Moss Side artist changed his name to Trigga.
MC Trigga is well known in the Manchester community. ‘When you get into a position of power, help people. You can’t forget where you come from,’ he says about helping young people in the music industry and the Manchester community in general.
The artist is big in drum and bass and the founder member of Shadow Demon Coalition. He also made tracks in the jungle and hiphop genre and worked together with fellow Manchester artists like Chimpo and Zed Bias. The Breaks and MC Trigga also worked together on the album ‘Code of Conduct’. Check out their track ‘Plans To Rise’ that is released on the ‘No Joke Records’ label, created by MC Trigga himself.
