Matt Tedstone talks Manchester in the 90’s, Tony Wilson & Factory Records! Interview W/ The New Talent Academy
Matt Tedstone speaks to Unity Radio’s NTA team for a history lesson into what Manchester’s music scene was like in the 90’s and what it was like working under the legandary Tony Wilson.
The NTA Crew discusses with Matt Tedstone what the 90’s scene was like first hand. Matt Tedstone was signed to Factory Records in the 90’s after playing in front of Tony Wilson. His first gig in the band was in front of 800 people in the Hacienda, then his second gig was at Heaton Park with a crowd of 10,000 people.
Matt also explains how different the clubbing culture was at the time. The music caused a merge in the class hierarchy within the venues in Manchester. This changed the atmosphere of clubbing in the 90s and the dress code.
