Kelly and Anthony from Manchester Young Carers joined Unity Radio to talk to The New Talent Academy about the young carers music project and the inspiration behind it!.
A young carer is someone aged 18 or under who helps look after a relative who has a condition, such as a disability, illness, mental health condition, or a drug or alcohol problem. Anthony discussed that he wanted something to represent all young carers because every young carer is different. Over 100 young carers got involved in the music project which expressed every ones different stories.
MCR Young Carers talk about their wide range of professionals that they are partnered with and explains how the backing of others can help young carers in many ways.
