Manchester Cat Clinic talk on how Youth can build a career working with animals! Interview w/ The New Talent Academy
Ellie Lee from the Manchester Cat Clinic joined Unity Radio’s New Talent Academy to talking about her passion for cats,
and the best ways people wanting to work with animals can make a living.
starting out as a joke but developing into a full project, the Cat Clinic is set up to be the only vet
exclusively for cats in Manchester.
Being independently constructed, Cat Clinic is now a fully fledged business,
Ellie Lee opens on her experience of getting funding and being an independent worker owning her first business.
The Cat Clinic founder also spans on the best ways one can not only work with animals, but also how students and young
people should apply and seek experience in the industry of animal caring. She underlines the importance
of standing out from the rest and showcasing real passion for the animal world.

The Cat Clinic is located in the 567 Wilmslow Road building,
a site known for their hospital and veterinary history.
“The practice which was originally started here shortly after the Second World War and has changed hands many
times over the last century. Most recently the business was sold to a corporate chain but it was closed
during the covid-19 pandemic, while the building remained owned by a retired vet. We have taken over the
site but don’t have a connection to the previous tenants. We are incredibly lucky that this lovely building
happened to be available to us and we are excited to modernise the premises and keep it going as a veterinary surgery long into the future.”
