On Tuesday 7th June, we welcomed Jobi Fuego. After the release of his debut full-length project, Jobi has been on a steady run of releasing singles since late last year, the latest of which is “Here 2 Stay” a light-hearted trap song which features Jobi’s signature rapid-fire delivery and rhyme scheme. Jobi has held weight within the local scene for the best part of half a decade, can the Mancunian wordsmith break out into more national circles? Only time will tell, however the quality of his work definitely warrants it. Listen back to Jobi break down his latest tune as well as give indication to what else he has in the pipeline.

Wednesday 8th June Unity Radio opened its studio doors to Cesar, another Mancunian rapper whose been making waves in the city for the last couple year’s. With his debut track only releasing on streaming in 2020, life as a musician has been bumpy for Cesar. COVID and subsequent lockdowns have halted the growth and evolution of artists everywhere, but we can imagine that feeling is exaggerated when you make your debut at the heigh of a global pandemic. Despite of this though, Cesar has come out of the other side and prospered, he is now gearing up to release his debut EP/project “Equivalent Exchange”. We had the chance to listen to the project before its release date of June 3rd and was incredibly impressed with the versatility and dynamism of the 5-song body of work.
