to give an exclusive album preview session of ‘ Love is Pain ‘ with DJ G.A.Z.

playing each track and chatting about the story of how they were made.

Jack Tyson Charles is a force of nature.
The son of British entertainment industry legends Craig Charles and Cathy Tyson,
Jack has spent the last five years channelling the musical history
and energy of his London hometown to cultivate his own unique brand of ‘Epic Soul’.
There is a raw honesty and intimacy to Jack and his music, and it is these qualities
that led to him featuring heavily on virtuoso producer Lack of Afro’s 2014 album ‘Music For Adverts.
This album proved a highly successful collaboration, leading to an explosive series of live concerts,
BBC radio airplay and high profile features in the MLB 15 video game
and the Delorean Motor Company’s triumphant advertising return.
In the years since that release, Jack has armed himself with a seriously enviable backing ensemble,
including south London musical maestros Pharoah S. Russell, who has previously worked with Cirque de Soleil,
The Noisettes and Emiliana Torrini, and Tom Driessler, former bassist for pop megastar Adele.
Jack and his band have gone from strength to strength on the live circuit over the past few years,
wowing audiences at home and abroad with powerful intimate appearances and high energy stage shows alike.
Highlights of this successful run include performances at Glastonbury, Soundwave and On Blackheath festivals,
and notable support slots for musical legends Shuggie Otis and Shalamar.
