Fats talks new drop ‘Mad One’, Come Up & More! Interview w/ DJ Basha & Edris Tiller
Southampton talent, Fats, joined DJ Basha and Edris Tiller to discuss his latest track ‘Mad One’, the talent in
Manchester, and his inspiration’s throughout his career.
On his latest track ‘Mad One’, with artist Jay, Fats tells that in the day of its making, Fats was originally planning
to go see his manager but instead he got hooked with a rhythm he heard in his car. A moment of inspiration pushing
him and Jay to do everything to get the song and video done in a single day.
He said: “On one day we wrote the song, recorded the song, mixed the song, had the video shot, got the models, got everyone
involved. And at the end, we were looking at each other like.. we really done that. We said this is a mad one.”
During the interview, the hosts also asked and ranked the artists’ taste when it comes to Mancunian talent.
In the ranking of his TOP 5 artists of the North West, Fats expressed nothing but admiration towards how the talent in
Manchester has been evolving, as well as how genres are merging and changing as more artists get a chance for a spotlight.
Fats has a unique character when it comes to music, his character, lyrics, and career has only been inspired by the happenings
of his life instead of external artists.
He said: “This is my life and I’m kind of engaging it in an artistic way and phrasing things in a way that might get people
reacting. But yeah, I can only really draw inspiration from my own life.”
