Monday 28th Feb / DRS
On Monday morning from 8am, we start your week off right as Jasper interviews Manchester drum & bass/jungle MC legend DRS on The Breakfast Show. DRS first rose to prominence as being one third of popular hip hop trio Broke ‘n’ £nglish, since then the MC has gone from strength to strength collaborating with some of the UK’s biggest names in drum & bass. DRS is currently gearing up for a nationwide tour which stops at Gorilla In Manchester on 12th April. Listen in to Jasper Hopkins’ Breakfast Show from 8am on Monday to hear DRS talk about the tour, new music and so much more.
Tuesday 1st March / Fumez
on Tuesday from 8am, we welcome Fumez. A rapper from the underbelly of the Mancunian rap scene, who was recently showcased on SBTV with his latest track “Jungle”. It just so happens that Fumez was the last artist posted on SBTV before the tragic passing of Jamal, throwing the track straight in to the lore of UK music culture forever. Jungle is a gritty, heavy-hitting and bar-heavy rap tune fresh from the streets of Manchester, packed to the brim with witty lyrics and an unmistakable Mancunian accent. Fumez comes in to chat to our very own Jasper about the new track, its placement on the SBTV platform and what else he has planned for the rest of the year.
Wednesday 2nd March / University Academy 92
On Wednesday, we welcome back a familiar face in UA92, an educational establishment founded by Gary Neville in 2019. They offer a unique take on education which results in degree-level qualifications. Listen in from 8am to learn more about this exciting organisation and everything they have to offer. Stay tuned for future collaborations between Unity Radio and UA92.
Thursday 3rd March / Victoria Jane
Thursday morning see’s Jasper Hopkins welcome a very special guest on to The Breakfast Show, from 8am Victoria Jane will be joining Jasper in the studio where she once used to present! The R&B singer/songwriter returns to Unity Radio for a homecoming interview after a jam-packed past year of new accomplishments. In August last year, Victoria moved to Radio 1 where she currently has her own show named Future Soul. With this, alongside the release of four dynamic singles in “Fake Love”, “Golden Hour”, “Could U Be Mine” and “Loverboy Freestyle”, it’s safe to say Victoria Jane had a year to remember in 2021. Listen to her recap her busy year and hear what she has in store for this year, only on Unity Radio’s Breakfast Show with Jasper Hopkins.
