Night 2: Antwerp Mansion
The devastating news came that the Mansion turned alternative music venue will be shutting it’s doors for the final time in the near future. However, that didn’t stop Manchester’s baseline crew turning out for Darkzy’s second night of his tour.
With the grey cloud, slowly looming over Antwerp Mansion, the Dark Nightz tour definitely gave the unique venue a storming start to it’s goodbyes.
With B2B sets from Cole and Cargo, NLMT and Xeonz, Claybrook and Versipelli. The night was set to be a sellout that Antwerp would never forget.
MC support came from Window Kid who has been gathering major support from his new track with Bru-C and Darkzy, ‘Hide The Ting’.
The night started out queuing with some bitterly cold temperatures however once inside, the enclosed rooms with little to no ventilation really did add to aura of Antwerp.
Speaking to Darkzy before his set:
“I’m so gassed man, its going to be sick, the supports have been amazing so far, the crowd is going mad at every drop, I just hope they have some energy left from my set!”

Darkzy’s emphatic speech to keep Antwerp open.
His set certainly did not disappoint. His style of bassline at a BPM of music that is regarded as unique and certainly his own. Darkzy pulled out new drops that had the crowd bouncing from start to finish.
With this being his fourth time at Antwerp and possibly looking like his last; His speech to a sold out Antwerp at the end of the night certainly left everyone in high spirits, that possibly just possibly, there is a glimmer of hope for rave-goers that the culture will not disappear.
Anthony Pilling spoke to Window Kid backstage after the gig about Antwerp, what’s in store for the future and what it’s like to link up with Darkzy…
