Catch pop up record store Avit106 Vinyl at the MCR Hip Hop Archive in Spinningfields on the 23rd September!
DJ Avidavit was a founding member of Shure Four around 1984/85 and joined the hip hop collective known as Hit Squad Mcr, featuring, Mc Tunes, Gerald & Spinmasters, around 87 and also co produced a track with Graham Massey. Later in 88 avi went on to work with Clive Wilks (Freedom Masses) amongst others in a crew named ColdBass Productions, making many demo recordings.
Throughout the 90s Avidavit was building on djing, playing gigs and parties in and around Hulme and Mossside, with Jedi crew (Eric T) and also Subliminal darkness. Early 2000s Avi got down with 106FM, playing Saturday night 12am -2am and later at Sankeys, Thursday nights with MC Picolo (subliminal).
Fast forward to the present day and DJ Avidavit has been hosting a mix show on unity radio 92.8 FM since 2017 every Friday 11-1am, and also owns ‘Avit106 Vinyl & Beats’ selling Soul, Funk, Hip Hop & House records, plus Producing and Selling Beats. Avit106 and is delivering a pop up and dj Set at MHHA Saturday 23rd September 12-8pm!
